Rin Okumura

A young human and demon half-blood and the illegitimate son of Satan.
Although he is not fond of studying and has a violent streak, he is naturally upbeat and warm-hearted.
With the Koma Sword broken, his inner demon heart that had been sealed away in Gehenna has now returned to his body.
To discover the truth behind the “Blue Night,” Rin uses the Kamikakushi Key to travel to the past.

Mephisto Pheles

VAHiroshi Kamiya

Preceptor of the Japan Branch of the Knights of the True Cross. He is the director of the True Cross Academy, which Rin attends, and is head of the Exorcism Cram School. He claims to be Shiro's friend and leads Rin on the path of becoming an exorcist.
Although he sets up different trials for Rin to become a weapon in the fight against Satan, his true intentions are shrouded in mystery. He leads Rin through the past and becomes Rin’s guide in his journey through time.

Shiro Fujimoto

VAHiroaki Hirata

Later becomes Rin and Yukio’s adoptive father. A clone of Azazel created to serve as a vessel for the Baal. He made a deal with Mephisto to become an Exwire and later obtained the qualifications to be a Senior Exorcist First Class. He began living outside of Section 13. He was combative and constantly fought with those around him, but gradually began to change…

A test subject from Section 13. An Azazel clone. He was created to serve as a vessel for the Baal, but he desires to escape that fate. He has a strong-willed and violent personality, and he doesn’t trust anyone.

Yuri Egin

VAMegumi Hayashibara

Later becomes the mother of Rin and Yukio. A second-class Tamer holding the title of Junior Exorcist Second Class. She works at a demon farm, cultivating and researching demons. She holds seminars, writes textbooks for students and Tamers, and is relatively well-known among Tamers.
She is kind and fearless and hopes to build friendly relationships with demons.

Yuri

VAMegumi Hayashibara

Orphaned soon after birth, she was picked up by former exorcists and raised in an abandoned factory. She is innocent and fearless and occasionally plays with a blue flame she calls “Rinka.”
After meeting Shiro, she ends up living at the Asylum, an institution that trains exorcists.

VATatsuhisa Suzuki

Later becomes the father of Rin and Yukio. He is an entity that connects with and controls nearly all demons. He possessed the body of Goro, an experimental subject from Section 13 and a clone of Azazel, just like Shiro. He particularly responds to Yuri, with whom he had been in contact since before he developed an ego.

Lucifer

VAKoki Uchiyama

Known as the “King of Light”, he is the de facto supreme power of Gehenna. His possessed body is rapidly deteriorating. As such, he is undergoing measures to prolong his life in Section 13 while waiting for the research on bodies for possession to be completed.

Shemihaza

VAIkumi Nakagami

One of the Three Great Sages, or Grigori, and the Supreme Advisor to the Knights of the True Cross. She is a descendant of the Emperor of Creation Shemihaza and humans.

Nicolae Eminescu

VARyunosuke Watanuki

A researcher at Section 13. He leads the cloning research in order to create the perfect body for Lucifer. His true identity is the future Arch Knight, Drac Drăgulescu.

Rick Lincoln

VAMiyu Irino

A second-class Tamer holding the title of Junior Exorcist Second Class, he grew up with Yuri at the Asylum. He has a bright personality with a wide circle of friends.
